Fri-Sun, May 2-4, 2008 - LVR PCA Club Race, Test, Tune, and DE Lapping Days are scheduled for Friday-Sunday and the Club Race will take place on Saturday & Sunday at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Outer Track. Fri-Sun, May 2-4, 2008 - The Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona invites you to participate in the "Annual Route 66 Fun Run."
First held in 1988, the Fun Run has attracted people from all over the U.S. and many foreign countries.
The three-day event, held the first weekend of May begins in Seligman and travels 140 miles to Topock/Golden Shores.
The event is open to all street legal vehicles. The event begins on Friday, May 2, 2008 in Seligman.
Throughout the day and evening, join in the fun with music and lots of great entertainment.
Each of these towns offers unique 66 sightseeing, and a peek into the past.
They are also geared up to welcome Fun Runners, so be sure and stop for a while if you've got the chance.

Sunday, May 4,11,18,25, 2008 - The Las Vegas F-Body Association of Camaros and Firebirds meets weekly EVERY Sunday at 7:30pm at the In-N-Out on West Sahara, just West of I-15. Meetings are on Sundays at 7:30pm, with announcements/news at 8:15. Stop by and introduce yourself. You get decals/stickers after three meetings. We do an after meeting activity at least once a month. Check the board before each meeting to see if we have an event planned like Bowling, Pool, Go Karts, or Cruise the Strip.

Sun, June 1 - Tacopa Hot Springs Resort - 10AM - Tacopa Hot Springs Resort is located only an hour or so away at Tecopa Hot Springs Rd, Tecopa, CA 92389. Dave Wechsler at 702-303-5626 is a friend of Reed Radosovich. Dave owns the Tacopa Hot Springs Resort which is a turnoff on the way to Pahrump. Dave's partner is Amy Noel at 760-852-4420 who says, "We look forward to hosting your group to our wonderful and peaceful place." Dave says we will love the drive along the Old Spanish Highway from 160 to Tecopa, "The Restaurant is gourmet and the Hot Springs water is Great." Bring your swimsuit if you wish to party with us in the hot springs. Meet at 10:00AM at the last gas station on the way to Pahrump on the corner of Blue Diamond (Hwy 160) and Charleston extension through Red Rock (Hwy 159). We will drive about 25 miles towards Pahrump, and turn left at Tecopa Rd. There is a little green sign that points left to "Tecopa". There is nothing else at that intersection except a little orange trailer that is sometimes parked on the corner selling beef jerky. As we enter California along that road it becomes Old Spanish Trail Hwy. Tacopa Hot Springs Resort is located 35 just miles down that road on the right. Saturday & Sunday, September 27-28, 2008 is the Fall Colors Tour Featuring Bryce Canyon and Utah's Red Rock Country. The route has been planned and a dry run has been driven. The roads and the scenery are spectacular. We depart Saturday September 27, 2008, at 8:00AM, from the parking lot of the "Iron Skillet Restaurant" near the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Saturday night we will stay in Torrey UT. at the "Best Western Capitol Reef Resort." The resort is holding 10 rooms for the "Las Vegas Porsche Club" the group rate, good until August 20, is $86, including tax. Make your own reservation by calling them at 435-425-3761. Saturday night we will enjoy a gourmet dinner at the "Diablo Cafe" in Torrey. On Sunday we there will be time to visit Capitol Reef National Park before we start our return trip to Las Vegas. Sat Nov 8, 2008 - Bitter Springs Trail Clean-Up Bitter Springs Trail This is our annual trail clean-up. Plan on bringing gloves, strong garbage bags, and a lunch. This year prizes will be awarded for the most unusual piece of trash and the most trash. The persons winning the prize for the most trash will be bestowed the honor of this years LRCLV Trash King and/or Queen and will have their trashy photos posted in the photo section. The Bitter Springs Trail is a designated Back Country Byway and can be easily navigated by any vehicle with standard clearance. The trail transitions from dirt road to wash in several places. It is well established and is safe for those who don't want to risk vehicle damage or scratches. This is an excellent run for those who are novice to off-road driving. Along the trail, we will stop to see ancient petroglyphs, visit Cave Rock - an unusual rock formation, and stop for lunch at an opal field (where you can look for white opals). |
